Help our residents stay warm this winter!

This year’s extreme summer dryness has left hay and straw in short supply. As well as less grazing available, the prices of both have soared, while availability and quality have fallen. As winter approaches, we urgently need your help to keep our rescued residents warm, fed, and comfortable at our vegan animal sanctuary.

From the end of October until April 2026, our resident cows, sheep, and goats come indoors. During these months, they rely entirely on hay donations instead of grass, and we also need extra straw bedding to keep everyone cosy through the cold nights — especially our pigs! Your support ensures that these sanctuary animals stay warm this winter.

To get through these challenging months, we need to raise an additional £11,900. Our supplier can deliver 200 bales of hay every two weeks, but until the new cow barn is finished, we don’t have the space to stockpile and store more in advance. Your donations will help us cover the ongoing costs of these essential hay and straw deliveries.

Every bale really does make a difference.

Your donations keep sanctuary animals safe

Your donation can cover the cost of a bale – and if you can make it monthly, you’ll help guarantee we can see the winter through.

Prices have increased since last winter, and we truly rely on your kindness to support our animal sanctuary’s winter appeal. Whether you choose a one-off gift or a regular monthly donation, your contribution helps us keep rescued animals warm, healthy, and cared for through the toughest months of the year.

Donate the cost of a bale of hay or straw, or set up a monthly donation today to help our residents stay warm this winter.
Thank you for being part of our community and helping us give every animal the comfort and safety they deserve💚
